Select your pen

There’s a wide range of writing tools to choose from when creating content on your paper tablet. In the Toolbar, you’ll see different writing tools. Tap these to quickly switch between pen styles, adjust thickness, and select color.

Erase and undo

Learn how to use the eraser and the undo button. You can easily erase content, and just as easily bring it back if you change your mind or make a mistake.

1. To remove content you’ve written with your Marker, tap the eraser icon in the Toolbar.

2. Then, use your Marker to rub over the content you want to remove.

If you want to remove larger areas of writing, you can use the selection eraser tool.

1. Tap the eraser icon, then tap selection eraser.

2. User your Marker to draw a continuous line around the area you want to erase.

3. The content inside the area you traced will be removed. You can reverse your last action by tapping the undo icon in the Toolbar.

Selection tool

Use the Selection tool (the dashed square icon in the toolbar) to move, convert, or delete your own handwriting text.
1. Tap the Selection tool (dashed square) in the toolbar.
2. Use your Marker to draw a loop around the handwriting or text you want to select.
3. Choose an action from the menu:

  • Move: Drag the box to a new spot, then tap outside to drop it.
  • Cut: Tap the Cut icon (scissors), then tap where you want to move it.
  • Copy: Tap the Copy icon (overlapping squares), then tap where you want to place the copy.

Draw perfect shapes

See how to draw shapes - circles, boxes, or triangles - in your documents, just by holding at the end of a pen stroke.

1. First, tap the three-dot menu in the sidebar of your notebook and toggle Enable shapes on.

2. Then draw a shape - a circle, for example. Make sure to pause, without lifting your Marker, to snap it into a perfect shape.

Convert handwriting to typed text

See how to easily convert your handwritten notes to typed text. Once converted, you can move, copy, and paste the text.

1. First, tap the Selection tool in the Toolbar.

2. Circle your handwritten text, then tap Convert to text under the selected area. Your typed text will appear under your handwritten notes. If you would like to convert all the handwritten notes on a page, tap Convert to text in the Toolbar.

Write with typed text
