How to create a notebook on reMarkable

Want to take notes or sketch on your reMarkable paper tablet? Just create a notebook.

When you want to take notes or sketch on your reMarkable paper tablet, tap the plus icon at the bottom of the display in My files. In addition to creating a folder, you’ll see two options: Notebook and Quick sheet.

Notebooks are ideal for larger projects, like taking notes during a recurring meeting. If you just need to jot down a thought, try quick sheets instead. Tapping this button creates a blank page at the end of the notebook on your paper tablet called “Quick sheets.”

When you create a notebook, you can select between the dozens of built-in templates on your paper tablet, and choose whether you want the first page or last page visited displayed as the thumbnail in My files. Select First page if you want to set a cover page for the notebook.
